Lamp perspex & plywood, Kaokao

Discover the latest additions to our lamp collection: the ngutu kākā and kaokao patterns (each available on separate listings). These charming lamps are not just a source of ambient light; they double as whimsical earring holders, adding a touch of creativity to your space. Crafted with care, each lamp features a trio of panels: a sleek front perspex panel flanked by two elegantly crafted plywood sides, blending form and function beautifully.
About the design Kaokao: Represents the ribs and armpits of a warrior, seen in a haka stance. It signifies the preparation for war & combat under the protection of Tumatauenga. Often seen in tukutuku (lattice work found mainly in wharenui) this design is said to have originated from Te Arawa and Tairawhiti.
