nichola.co.nz is a producer of contemporary Māori artworks from Aotearoa. We make taonga (treasures) jewellery, clothing, lamps, artpieces and homewares. We also do commissioned work, examples of this can be found on our gallery pages. If you are interested in some personalised mahi (work) please contact us at email@example.com
All images, logos and trademarks are copyright. Please do not copy or use without approval or you may incur legal action.
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are inclusive of any Goods and Services Tax ("GST") unless stated to be otherwise but are exclusive of delivery charges. All prices are correct when published. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.
An invoice will be emailed to you at the email address you supply when you place your order. You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are correct.
Forms of payment
We process payments through PayPal or Laybuy when using our website.
You are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Laybuy option is a payment system offered by Laybuy, their terms and conditions will be supplied once you've chosen the Laybuy payment option when purchasing one (or more) of our products.

Delivery Times and Methods
Prices are in New Zealand dollars.
You will receive an email confirming your order and further postage costs if applicable. Your order will be processed once funds have cleared.
If we receive your order in the weekend or on a public holiday, we will process your order on the next business day. Please note that during busy holiday times or when we are running a sale things may take a little longer to get to you. Please contact us if you need your item/s urgently.
We use Fastway Couriers and Courier Post for all national shipments. Parcels normally take 1-4 working days to arrive (again this is after funds have cleared and dependent on your delivery address). Rural delivery, signature required, express courier, international delivery will incur additional fees, which will be confirmed when your order is processed.
Prices for goods and services stated on our website are exclusive of any applicable delivery charges.
We only deliver to New Zealand street addresses. The cost of delivery is as stated on our website and a total delivery cost will be provided in the order summary we in your online shopping basket.
We will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that orders for tangible goods will be dispatched promptly after an order has been placed.
Returns and Refunds
All our products are lovingly handmade to a very high standard in our Hamilton studio and we are sure that you will be thrilled with your purchase!
Please note that all items are individual and unique, so there will be minor variations between items.
If, for some reason, you are not happy with your item(s) you are able to return your items within 14 days from the purchase date. We will happily refund or exchange any item in its original condition. You must contact us straight away.
We recommend that you return items by secure post as we cannot accept responsibility if it is lost in transit. You will be responsible for the cost of the return freight unless the item is faulty.

Once your item(s) is returned you are able to either have a store credit to the same value, exchange the item for another product or we can refund your purchase amount into your nominated bank account (payments through laybuy will be refunded through them).
If you wish to cancel your order, you can. We are very flexible however please email us as soon as possible. Please note that if we have processed your payment before you cancel, we will deduct the merchant fees from your refund.
You must also be mindful that these pieces are taonga – items to treasure, they have a korero and/or kaupapa (story) to them and should be treated with care and delicacy. Care instructions are provided either on our website or with your product (this mainly applies to our clothing).
Most of our products should be kept out of direct sunlight, as it can cause fading or sometimes damage.

If your item is faulty you need to return the item for a refund or repair, or you may exchange it. Please contact us as soon as you discover the fault. We will endeavor to repair, replace or exchange your item as soon as possible. We will also refund you the costs of return shipping, and cover all shipping costs for the repaired or replacement item.
We endeavor to process repairs, refunds and exchanges within 7 working days of receiving your faulty product.
