Native Timber Necklace

A statement necklace made from native timber veneer and plywood, bringing together natural material, illustration and contemporary Māori design.

Kaupapa of the design: The wahine sits in a state of reflection... something I am learning to make more space for myself. A reminder to stop, to sit with where we are, acknowledge where we have been, and think about where we are going. Sometimes there is value in simply being still.

Each pendant is constructed from two layers of laser-cut and engraved wood, creating depth and dimension within the design. Finished on a simple chain, the oversized scale makes this a beautiful statement piece while still feeling lightweight to wear.
