AUNTY APRON DRESS

Created from the memory of marae tables where stories, kai, and laughter are shared, the Aunty Apron Dress transforms the humble apron into a symbol of connection, care, and the enduring presence of wāhine. 

Kōrero behind the garment: Made from upcycled tablecloths gifted from the marae, each dress carries with it the imprint of gatherings, kōrero, and the aroha of those who came before. With its pinafore-inspired silhouette and ties that knot at the back, it reimagines the apron as an everyday statement piece, both practical and powerful, tender and unapologetic. The Aunty Apron Dress is more than attire; it is a continuation of whakapapa, a reminder that what nurtures us can also adorn us.
