Print Design: the prints on this garment represent two design narratives: Tamanuiterā (represented in the tāniko design down the leg) and Rawe (Excellence - triangle print on front). What these mean to us:

Rawe is the manifestation of excellence. To symbolise this we have used the poutama design which signifies the growth of humans, striving ever upwards to reach the ‘peak’ of one's goals & objectives. To focus on attainment, achievement and being the best one can be. 

Tamanuiterā this design is based on the relationship Tamanuiterā had with his two wives, Hinetakurua and Hineraumati.  Symbolising how he spends time with one then the other travelling between them both.

Did you know... This garment is made in Kampot, Cambodia by an indigenously owned company called Dorsu, who make slow and considered garments, designed and produced ethically in their production studio. We at Nichola are moving into a space where we want to build good relationships with indigenous business across the world who encapsulate the value of kaitiakitanga (guardianship of people, planet and processes).

Sizing guide: We have found this sizing to be smaller so we advise choosing a size or two up from what you would normally buy if you are wanting a relaxed fit e.g. normal size 14/LRG we would go up to an XLG or 2XL for a looser fit.

Fabric details: blended medium weight cotton jersey with a white vinyl print.
